Ottery St Mary

Ottery St Mary is one of the most pleasant and friendly small towns in East Devon with many amenities, shops, including Sainsbury's, pubs, churches, very good schools, post office, banks, medical centre, local hospital, recreational activities, sports centre and bus services. Although surrounded by beautiful open countryside it is particularly accessible; 6 miles to the coast at Sidmouth, Exeter 10 miles (M5 junction) with the A30 dual carriageway giving swift access. Honiton is 6 miles with further shops, amenities and mainline station (Waterloo-Exeter).




West Hill

West Hill is an appealing and individual village with a mini-supermarket at its heart which is open long hours and includes a post office. There is also a pretty church, high achieving modern primary school, village hall, garage, hairdresser, dentist and bus services. The town of Ottery St Mary is about 2 miles away with the well-known Kings School, medical centre, Sainsbury's supermarket and other shops/amenities. Exeter and the M5 (about 8 miles) is easily reached along the A30 dual carriageway. Honiton with station (Waterloo-Exeter) is about 8 miles and the coast at Sidmouth about 6 miles.



The mainline railway station on the London Waterloo-Exeter line is within the village, as are the doctor's surgery, post office, church, bus service, well respected local primary school and heritage centre. There is also a cricket field and two good family pubs. The old A30 runs near the village which gives quick access to the A30 dual carriageway for easy journeys to Honiton, Exeter and the M5. Ottery St Mary is about 3 miles, Exeter 8 miles and the coast at Sidmouth is within a short drive.




Feniton is an extremely well situated village for those wishing to travel to Ottery St Mary (3 miles), Honiton (3 miles) and Exeter (12 miles). The A30 dual carriageway provides quick journey times into Exeter and Honiton. The village has a train service (Waterloo-Exeter), shops, pub, very good primary school, post office and church. The coast at Sidmouth is within an easy drive. Ottery St Mary has many shops, including Sainsbury's as well as the popular Kings School.



Talaton has a strong community, village hall, community run shop, church and a good pub. Ottery St Mary is only a few miles away and Talaton stands within the Kings School catchment area. The local primary school at Feniton also has a strong reputation and for those wishing to commute to Exeter and the M5 or Cullompton, this village is particularly accessible. Honiton is about 5 miles away and the coast at Sidmouth within a short driving distance.



Payhembury is a true Devon village with a good community and excellent local amenities that include community run village shop, pub and highly regarded primary school. Payhembury is surrounded by open countryside but within easy travelling distance of Honiton (about 7 miles) and Exeter along the A30 (about 16 miles). The Waterloo train line runs through the nearby village of Feniton. The coast, Cullompton and M5 access are also within an easy drive. Payhembury stands within the Kings School catchment area.


Tipton St. John

Tipton St John is a pretty village offering a very good primary school, church, excellent pub, village hall, stores and bus service. Ottery St Mary with its many shops; including Sainsbury's supermarket, schools and amenities is about 3 miles away, as is the coastal resort of Sidmouth. Exeter is about 14 miles. Tipton enjoys a lovely countryside location with walks along the banks of the River Otter, together with cricket and tennis clubs.



Rockbeare is a pretty and typical East Devon village with a church, pub and excellent primary school. Exeter is about 5 miles away, easily reached along the old A30 which runs nearby. The M5 motorway stands on the edge of the city. Ottery St Mary is about 6 miles, with shops including Sainsbury's, the coast about 8 miles and the Waterloo/Exeter railway line runs through the nearby village of Whimple.


Newton Poppleford

Newton Poppleford is within easy access of Exeter, M5 and the coast. Local amenities include a convenience store with post office, pubs, church, village hall, good primary school, bus services, restaurants, recreational activities and the surrounding countryside provides excellent walking and horse riding facilities. The coast at Sidmouth is about 3 miles, Ottery St Mary about 4 miles and Exeter about 10 miles with M5 access.
